Tucson’s World Renowned Gem and Mineral Show

Purple crystal

Every late January through early February over 65,000 visitors from across the globe come to Tucson to buy, sell, and trade gems, minerals, and fossils at the world-famous Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Considered the largest and most prestigious gem show of its kind, it’s a must-see event for those outside of the gem business too! This year marks the 69th show, which started gaining its international prominence in the 1970s.

Although some tents and exhibits are private, most of the shows are free and open to the public. From affordable jewelry and gems, to museum-like exhibits and $100,000+ crystals, there’s something for nearly everyone to see and enjoy. Most exhibits offer special showcases for spectators and displays suited for children of all ages.

A number of shows are located in downtown, but you can find dozens more elsewhere. For information on all of the shows, parking and transportation, FAQs, and more, go to VisitTucson.com.

And while you’re in Tucson I recommend checking out some of our stunning outdoor spaces and iconic bars, coffee shops, and restaurants, including:
